I have attached some photos of my recent trip on the East Lancs Railway. It was fun. I am from Pennsylvania and i have not seen much of the UK yet, but the train ride to Rawtenstall was great. it was an old fashioned steam train with compartments in the carriages. I found the seats ok but the luggage racks much more fun to swing from!

It beats Sainburys in Salford, where I recently got lost! . Luckily those I live with, found me in the fruit aisle by the bananas and took me home!

Had such a fun day out as well.

44422 has returned to Crewe LNWR Heritage Centre for minor works to be undertaken before leaving for The West Somerset Railway later in the year. The engine will replace 80136 which has returned to Crewe for a 10 year overhaul. 44422's tender is already at Crewe receiving a bottom end overhaul
