Jimby
in Atlanta and Savannah 2006
In July 2006 I went to Atlanta and Savannah
for 3 weeks holiday. It was a struggle to get Ann to take
me but as a true Jimby I made it. It was very hot but
popping in and out of shops kept my fur cool. So enjoy
my pictures below and remember, us Jimby's always get
our own way in the end. Jimby in Tulsa though is worried
about how the new hand baggage rules will affect our travels.

I started off by insisting
I went in the hand baggage. This was on the advice of
Jimby in Tulsa insists on this way of travel. Also I
didn't fancy getting lost for two days again in a suitcase
as happened last time going to Atlanta via Paris. I
stayed at a hotel at Gatwick Airport before flying out
the next day. The photo is from the Executive Floor
which I took a look at.

After
a nice flight with British Airways we arrived safely and
took the MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)
about 25 miles to near our hotel. This cost $1.75 or just
under £1 each. What a bargain and so I still had
$49 pocket money left. Then I got down to planning our
holiday in greater detail. |

The
first job was to get a new top from one of the 'Building
a Bear Shops'. I had a couple but they were getting old
and I needed something cool to suit my looks. Then a rest
whilst I cooled down. It was about 99 degrees at the time
outside. |
|
We visited Underground Atlanta an
Arcade of shops and managed to sit on an old Chevrolete
Car.
