Jimby in York October 2006

I had been to York several times with Mick but usually in the bag and out of sight for most of the day. Not much fun but I had a train ride and saw some of his friends for a few moments if I behaved or they asked where I was.

This time I had a whole four days and showed Mick and Ann around the City. Being a clever Jimby (as we all are) I looked places up on the Internet before going and sounded quite knowledgeable. So below are the photographs, not so many as I would have liked but the batteries ran out and still have to look for the ones I took with their mobile phone camera.

Jimby at the Railway Museum

What a big place the Railway Museum was. Mick said it had doubled in size since they last went 20 years ago. I wanted to get everywhere but wasn't allowed and I so wanted to drive a train!

Jimby with presents

At least I got the presents from the Hotel for my friends at home (for a price). Even got some bottles of water and some biscuits. J.J. usually buys them all as he gets so hungry.

Jimby York Castle

The Castle Museum was very scarry in places and this was from one of the nicer rooms, not a cell or something.

Jimby Railway Museum

I always wanted to wait on a platform and pretend I was in an old film. Never quite made it as lots of people were about but I gave them a wave and carried on.

Jimby on stagecoach

Just hoped someone called Dick Turpin who was a highwayman didn't catch me on this one. I thought the horse was real at first.

Jimby the engine driver

Back at the Railway Museum and actually nearly got to drive the engine.
